LMS BY LINA MAYORGA Modular Nomad Collection

LMS BY LINA MAYORGA Modular Nomad Collection

This collection is my response to our collective longing for nature, especially after 2020. As a designer, I wanted to create pieces that act as a bridge, allowing you to move from the structured environment of a workspace into the raw freedom of nature without friction. Each piece is a deliberate study in transformation, crafted in small batches within my New York studio and LA atelier.
The Anywhere Jacket (5-in-1 Artist's Blazer): A meticulous fusion of a classic blazer and vegan performance wear. Hand-tailored from OEKO-TEX recycled polyester to be your shield against the elements—waterproof, windproof, and breathable.

The Urban Hybrid Pants: Sculpted from buttery-soft, water-repellent fabric. I designed these with an adjustable leg silhouette, allowing the wearer to shift the form from a sharp slim fit to a tapered boot as the environment changes.

The Add-On Adventure Vest (3-in-1 Transformation): A modular layer for the true escapade. This piece utilizes PFC-Free water-resistant textiles and features specific design elements that allow for a unique, personalized fit.

More than the place that we are from, the place where we live, or any labels or stereotypes put on us by society, we all want and should be seen for who we really are, and how we like to be perceived. We are connected by one planet, and crossing paths/immigration/traveling is allowing different styles and cultures to be immersed in different places all at once. It is helping us grow by learning from each other's preferences, respecting them, and allowing freedom in decision-making.

This capsule collection is about being global, versatile, diverse, and connected, all on the same planet. It's about having the ability to adapt to the needs of each moment and finding how we can modify several garments depending on the look we want to achieve.

Inform to Survive: The Redress Sustainable Award Collection

Inform to Survive: The Redress Sustainable Award Collection

In 2017, my creative trajectory was redefined during the United Nations Conference on the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. Witnessing the profound disconnect between global humanitarian needs and the environmental impact of the fashion industry, I felt a responsibility to use design as a medium for advocacy. This conviction led to the creation of "Inform to Survive," a collection that earned me a place as a Top 10 Finalist for the Redress Design Award: the world's leading sustainable fashion competition.

The collection is a visual manifest of the 17 Global Goals, utilizing color-blocking graphics and motifs to translate complex data into wearable awareness. My objective was to challenge the traditional boundaries of ethical wear by juxtaposing technical sportswear elements with structured formalwear silhouettes.

This journey culminated in Hong Kong, where the collection debuted on a global stage. Being selected from hundreds of international applicants to present these pieces in one of the world's fashion capitals solidified my commitment to a future where high-fashion serves a higher purpose. "Inform to Survive" is not merely a collection; it is an avant-garde instrument for education, designed for the modern woman who views her wardrobe as a statement of intent.

Following the global reception of the original series, I developed Inform to Survive 1.2 to further bridge the gap between avant-garde design and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. This evolution of the collection introduces four new gender-neutral looks, each meticulously engineered from recyclable and organic textiles to encourage a deeper dialogue regarding our global future.

These pieces debuted in New York City during the 'Sustainability and Innovation' forum, organized by the French American Chamber of Commerce. Across two dedicated exhibition stands, I presented the collection as both a designer and an advocate—sharing my technical creation process and my commitment to a purely vegan, circular fashion economy with an audience of global innovators. This series serves as a testament to the belief that high-fashion can be a powerful vehicle for education, moving beyond the runway to inspire tangible change.

Pioneering Ethical Luxury Since 2016

Pioneering Ethical Luxury Since 2016

Having transitioned to a vegan lifestyle in 2013, my design philosophy had already undergone a profound evolution by the time I began my thesis in 2016. This collection stands as a manifest of that journey, a rigorous exploration of vegan eveningwear designed to shatter the traditional aesthetic of sustainable fashion. At a time when ethical clothing was almost exclusively synonymous with a relaxed, bohemian style, I sought to prove that compassion could coexist with the sharp, architectural sophistication required for the red carpet.

I identified a total absence of ethics in the specific world of high-glamour eveningwear. To address this void, I utilized an innovative palette of vegan textiles and natural dyes, navigating the technical complexities of achieving runway-ready depth without the use of toxic synthetics or animal derivatives. The resulting silhouettes are a study in structured contrast, juxtaposing voluminous, oversized layers with meticulously fitted garments to create a modern, avant-garde finish that is as mindful as it is dramatic.
